Keep Selections Open

This setting may be used to keep the current selection open after performing a search operation. For example, if the user is working with the following code snippet:

where lines 12, 13, and 14 are partially selected. If a search operation is performed to find the first occurrence of the keyword assign. If the "Keep Selections Open" operation is enabled the selection will now look like:

In this case the selection has been extended to include all the text up to and including the assign keyword.

Enabling the Keep Selections Open feature

To enable this feature:

1. Activate the Settings dialog from the settings menu.

2. When the Settings dialog appears, select the General tab in the settings dialog.

3. Check or un-check the "Keep Selections Open" option to enable or disable the feature.
