Keep Search Selections

The Keep Search Selection feature allows the string being searched for to remain highlighted after performing a search. If this feature is not set then the search selection moves to either the beginning or end of the selection. For example, if the cursor were located on line 16 in the snippet below and the user performed a search for the text "assign" then this would result in the search selection shown in the figure below:

Enabling the Search Selections feature

To enable this feature:

1. Activate the Settings dialog from the settings menu.

2. When the Settings dialog appears, select the General tab in the settings dialog.

3. Check or un-check the "Keep Search Selections" option to enable or disable the feature.
