Adding New file extensions

Code Roar uses the extension of a file to determine the display settings for a file opened in the editor. New file extensions may be configured for any file/language type supported by the application.

To associate a new file extension:

  1. Select the Change Settings option from the Settings menu to active the Settings dialog.

  2. Under the "File Types" tab select the desired file/language type for which a new extension will be added.

  3. Select the "File Extensions" sub tab.

  4. Press the "New" button to add a new file extension. This will create a empty place holder for the extension.

  5. Rename the extension as appropriate.

  6. Select the "Ok" button save the new file extension.

To modify an existing File Extension:

  1. Select the "Change Settings" option from the Settings menu to active the Settings dialog.

  2. Under the "File Types" tab select the desired file/language type for which an extension will be modified.

  3. Select the "File Extensions" sub tab.

  4. In the extension list select the extension to be renamed.

  5. Rename the extension in the "Extension" field.

  6. Select the "Ok" button or select another extension in the list to save the modified extension.
