Controlling the  startup environment

The startup environment for Code Roar may be tailored to suit the individual designer's preferences. Startup preferences are configured through the Settings dialog.

 

Reopening Files on Startup

If configured, the Workshop will attempt to re-open all active files upon a restart. This feature may be enabled or disabled from the Settings dialog.

 

To active or de-activate the automatic re-opening of files on startup:

 

  1. Select the "Change Settings" option from the Settings menu to active the Settings dialog.

  2. Under the "Options" category ensure that the "Reopen files" option is checked in order to automatically re-open files on startup.

  3. To disable this feature simply un-check the option described in step 2.

Preventing Multiple Instances of Code Roar

The editor may be configured to run as a single instance or, if desired, as multiple instances. To modify this behavior:

 

  1. Select the "Change Settings" option from the Settings menu to activate the Settings dialog.

  2. Select the "Startup" tab to activate the configuration options for application startup.

  3. To allow multiple instances to be loaded select the "Allow Multiple Instances" option. To prevent multiple instances of the application from being loaded de-select the "Allow Multiple Instances" option.

  4. Select the "Ok" button to close the dialog and save the settings.

 

Controlling Startup Size and Location

The startup size and location of the workshop may be configured to match the user's preferences. To modify the startup location and size:

 

  1. Select the "Change Settings" option from the Settings menu to activate the Settings dialog.

  2. Select the "Startup" tab to activate the configuration options for application startup.

  3. Set the left and top fields to control the startup location of the workshop.

  4. Set the width and height fields to control the startup size of the workshop.

  5. To maximize the workshop on startup check the "Start Maximized" checkbox.

  6. Select the "Grab Current" button to store the current location and size and restore it on startup.
